ModuSec construction options -
walls
Standard walls
Composite panels are 100mm thick with pre-finished 0.55mm
steel skins and a Pyrofoam (Phenolic foam) core. Each panel
is 1140mm wide from joint to joint – with each wall having
the last panel made or cut to size to meet the overall required
length. Wall height for standard walls can be up to 6m high
(around 4m for
high security walls).
In general we recommend a minimum of a
50mm gap from existing walls to allow for non squared or non
plumbed walls. The panels can be fitted completely from inside
the new room. Walls are fitted into a base channel fixed and
sealed to a concrete slab or via preformed joints with base
panels, then fixed together via mechanical camlocks. Corners
also have preformed joints or can be cut to size on site if
preferred and finished off with a steel angle and decorative
coving.
Wipe clean surfaces require no further decoration or
maintenance. Internal colour is generally white. For outside
construction you can choose a colour from the Corus
HPS200 range. Note that no additional protection is required
for an outside construction. However, if required, the panels
can be clad in brick, block or any other decorative cladding
sheet or panel.
Conduits, cables and light loads can be fixed directly
to the steel skins with self tapping screws. Cable conduits
and steel reinforcement channels can be foamed inside the panels
to support heavy loads if required. Otherwise we recommend
the use of Unistrut, fixed down to the floor
to support heavy equipment.
High security walls
Class 2:
2 layers of 3mm steel mesh foamed
into the panels. Each sheet has a 'diamond' pattern
that is cross laid to frustrate the use of drill bits and cutting
blades.
Class 3:
Additional 20mm layer of material encased
in steel skins to further frustrate the use of cutting blades.
Note that Standard, Class 2 and Class 3 walls and ceilings
are interchangeable and can be mixed to meet varying security
levels on different facades of a room.
